Installation





First Use





Repeater Mode








Step 1: Plug the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 into a power socket near your wifi router or access point. Wait until the power LED turns on.

Step 2: Press the WPS button on your router or access point for about two seconds. Within two minutes, press the WPS button on the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 for about two seconds. The wifi LED will start blinking.



Step 3: Wait until the wifi LED turns solid green. This indicates that the connection is successful. The Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 will automatically copy the SSID and password of your existing wifi network.



Step 4: Unplug the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 and move it to a location where you want to extend the wifi signal. Plug it into a power socket and wait until the wifi LED turns solid green. You can now connect your devices to the extended wifi network.





Setting Mode








Step 1: Plug the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 into a power socket near your wifi router or access point. Wait until the power LED turns on.



Step 2: Connect your computer or mobile device to the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 via wifi or LAN cable. The default SSID is "Silvercrest_Extender_XXXXXX", where XXXXXX is the last six digits of the MAC address. The default password is "12345678".



Step 3: Open a web browser and enter " or "192.168.10.1" in the address bar. The configuration menu of the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 will appear.



Step 4: Follow the instructions on the screen to set up your wifi network. You can change the SSID, password, security mode, channel, and other settings as you wish.



Step 5: Click "Save" to apply the changes. The Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 will reboot and switch to setting mode. The wifi LED will turn solid green.



Step 6: You can now connect your devices to the new wifi network created by the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2.






Manual Configuration








Step 1: Plug the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 into a power socket near your wifi router or access point. Wait until the power LED turns on.



Step 2: Connect your computer or mobile device to the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 via wifi or LAN cable. The default SSID is "Silvercrest_Extender_XXXXXX", where XXXXXX is the last six digits of the MAC address. The default password is "12345678".



Step 3: Open a web browser and enter " or "192.168.10.1" in the address bar. The configuration menu of the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 will appear.



Step 4: Click on "Wifi" and select either "Repeater Mode" or "Setting Mode".



Step 5: If you choose "Repeater Mode", you can scan for available wifi networks and select the one you want to extend. Enter the password of your existing wifi network and click "Connect". You can also change the SSID and password of the extended wifi network if you wish.



Step 6: If you choose "Setting Mode", you can create a new wifi network with a different SSID and password. You can also change the security mode, channel, and other settings as you wish.



Step 7: Click "Save" to apply the changes. The Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 will reboot and switch to the selected mode. The wifi LED will turn solid green.



Step 8: You can now connect your devices to the wifi network created or extended by the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2.





Troubleshooting





Common Problems






  • Problem: The power LED does not turn on.



  • Solution: Check if the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 is plugged into a working power socket. Try another socket if necessary.




  • Problem: The wifi LED does not turn solid green.



  • Solution: Check if the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 is within the wifi range of your router or access point. Move it closer if necessary. Make sure you have entered the correct password of your existing wifi network. Try to reset the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 by pressing the reset button for about 10 seconds.




  • Problem: The wifi signal is weak or unstable.



  • Solution: Check if there are any obstacles or interference sources between the Silvercrest SWV 300 B2 and your router or access point.
